DIY500AMP.COM was founded out of passion, not profit. I’m Nelvick Berrios — a lifelong tech enthusiast who started in the DIY battery community by testing cells, building packs, and sharing results with others online.

My first step into the community was as a moderator in the 18650 Batteries for Beginners group, where I spent countless hours helping newcomers and sharing knowledge. Over time, I realized builders needed not just information, but also a reliable place to source authentic, high-performance battery cells and tools. That led me to create our own official Facebook group, DIY500AMP, which has grown into a trusted hub where thousands of members learn, build, and share together.

Why We Exist

Too many builders have been burned by fake, mismatched, or poor-quality cells. I built DIY500AMP.COM to change that. Here’s what sets us apart:

  From 18650 Batteries for Beginners to our official group DIY500AMP, our roots have always been about helping the DIY community. Whether you’re making your first small pack or designing a 500-amp powerhouse, you’ll find knowledge and support here.

• Tools That Work
  We don’t just sell cells. We design and stock welders, busbars, 3D printable trays, and accessories that we personally use in our own builds. If it’s not good enough for my bench, it won’t show up in our store.
