Features and compatibility

  • For 3.6V/3.7V lithium-ion and 1.2V NiMH rechargeable batteries, including 18650 and protected 21700 cells.
  • Manually selectable charging current from 0.25A to 3A, with a maximum of 3A in one slot. Available current depends on the number of cells and power supply.
  • USB-C input with QC3.0 support. Use a suitable QC3.0 adapter and cable for maximum charging performance.
  • Grading mode measures discharge capacity; storage mode prepares compatible cells for storage. Internal-resistance readings are comparative references, not a substitute for laboratory testing.

What's included

XTAR VC4SL charger and QC3.0-capable USB charging cable in original XTAR retail packaging.

USB wall adapter and batteries are sold separately.

Battery safety

Use only the supported rechargeable chemistry and observe polarity. Check each cell's manufacturer charging limit before selecting a current; the charger's maximum is not a recommended rate for every cell. Do not charge damaged, leaking, swollen or overheated cells, or cells with damaged wrappers. Do not use disposable batteries, 1.5V lithium-ion cells or LiFePO4 cells. Charge on a nonflammable surface in a dry, ventilated area, away from children and combustible materials. Do not leave charging unattended. Stop use if a cell or charger becomes unusually hot.

Manufacturer warranty: 24 months for qualifying defects, subject to XTAR's terms. For support, contact support@diy500amp.com.

XTAR product information and user manual

For battery cells, review the product description for real-world current recommendations, testing notes, and application guidance. Manufacturer maximum ratings should be treated as limits, not the best target for long-term pack health.

Orders ship from Florida when inventory is available. Lithium-ion cells require proper handling, protected packs, correct chargers, and safe storage. Do not solder directly to battery terminals.
